Lightning never strikes the same place twice...

... and so it is with our friend Bhargavi and restaurants.

However, the similarity ends there.

Because lightning does not strike every night.

Anyway, we are certainly not complaining, because we were treated to a fab time at Taranta tonight - a Peruvian/Italian fusion restaurant in the North End.

We had cocktails made with 'Peruvian pisco' (yum) followed by, most notably, filet mignon with coffee sauce for B.


And highly enjoyable conversation about all the Usual Suspects:

- politics
- medicine
- idealism
- how to solve all the world's problems
- Prince William and the monarchy
- fashion and shoes

We do not get to see Bhargavi, who we've known for about 14 years and who currently lives in S. Africa, anything remotely like enough.
