Easter Sunday

We had to have logistical conversations in advance about today (lengthy logistical discussions being one less enjoyable aspect of parenting).

We had to co-ordinate:

- S singing in the choir in three back-to-back church services - which meant which she couldn't look after A all morning

- two hours lab work for B, during which he couldn't look after A either

- B's restaurant breakfast with colleagues, followed by their attending one of the church services

- all A's normal meals and naps

- an Easter lunch with A's godparents' family in Wellesley, which we didn't leave until after 8pm

In the end, we realised the only way to fit everything in, was for B to go to work at 4.30am.

But it was actually a wonderful day.

There was a palpable sense of excitement and celebration at Park Street Church, with a big queue of people wanting to get in, and more people standing in the aisles during the services.



And it was great fun to further celebrate Easter with some of our best friends here in Boston.

But you know you've had a busy weekend when Monday morning means you get a three hour lie-in.
