Horners' Odyssey: Busy day

Busy day

L, having slept through the night for weeks now, decided to get up for a feed last night at 4 am, which was NOT welcome.

She woke up again at 5.30 -- then A woke up at 7.

S shouted at A through the wall to go back to sleep (Bad Mother Moment) which didn't work -- but woke up B very effectively.

However we could not be slug-a-beds. We had to go early to Greenwich Leisure Centre to go swimming with friends and their two little daughters.

We had a fantastic time, A gained confidence massively and L is so chilled-out, that she is perfectly happy whatever we do with her and doesn't even cry when she gets splashed in the face (unlike Mummy, who makes a big fuss).

We then drove straight to Peckham to check out a few possible venues for a lunch after L's christening in July, but nothing seemed quite right.

While driving around we were struck with the beauty of Peckham Rye Park, and so we have decided to be brave and organise a picnic. After all, the christening IS in the summer!

Of course, the English weather might decide to ruin our plans, but, being scientists, we have looked up the statistics, and there is a 2 in 3 chance of having no rain at all on any given day in July.

So we are quietly confident.

Well, actually, we are really excited....
