Children's TV
A has been watching an awful lot of babies' TV recently, but it's the only way of distracting her during all the constant feeding.
We are pleased to report our older daughter is very affectionate towards the baby and doesn't seem to be in the throes of terrible jealousy. She likes stroking her hair, passing her toys or jiggling her mobile, tries to wash her in the bath ..... and even puts the dummy back in her mouth, saying plaintively, "Baby cry" - probably the most-said phrase in our house at present.
Most engagingly of all, A is unable to pronounce L's name, so for now, she gets called Baby La-La. Whether this is due to the malign influence of too much Teletubbies, we'll never know.
