Home delivery - not.

It hasn't been a very productive day so far.

First of all S had a supermarket delivery scheduled for 9am. The supermarket called to say due to 'severe staff shortages' they were unable to deliver until Monday morning.

Next, the B&Q man came at 11am to measure our bathroom and 'create a design'. We had been told in the showroom that the bathroom would definitely be completed weeks before the arrival of the new baby. Today, having waited 2 weeks for this appointment, we learnt otherwise. We now have to start from scratch and find a new bathroom supplier who can do it in even less time.

After that, S waited in all afternoon, while A stormed in boredom about the flat, waiting for two separate deliveries scheduled for today. Neither has shown up.

There's a postal strike and so our new GPS navigator for the car, which S was going to use to help her get back from Oxford on Sunday, is also late.

And lastly, our remortgage is causing us headaches because our current supplier is refusing to provide statements on time to the new one.

It's enough to make you want to leave the country...

... and move to one, say, known for its good customer service....
