Going over the top

Strategy consultants are evidently a bit of a smarter-dressed bunch than doctors - B can't exactly show up to work on Monday clad in blue pyjamas and clogs - so we headed into town today to buy some last-minute work wardrobe.

Only halfway in, did we realise we were going to Oxford Street on a Saturday afternoon with a toddler. Are we crazy?

The shops were insanely busy, and the Tube was like rush hour - utterly packed.

However people were very courteous and friendly, helping us with doors and giving up their seats on the Tube, and A actually seemed to really enjoy her outing.

We went over the top and survived.
