ANOTHER leaving party!
Clearly, we're very spoiled.
B already had one work leaving party, but this one was a smaller affair for his immediate team. It was a pot-luck supper hosted by one of the other Research Fellows and his wife. We were banned from bringing anything.
The food was quintessentially American and very delicious - grilled chicken, juicy homemade burgers, very sweet and tender corn-on-the-cob, macaroni cheese (yum), Caesar salad, and a gigantic home-made chocolate and coffee cake.
A provided most of the entertainment, and also seemed to eat non-stop all evening. Sometimes her appetite is just amazing. We found out at today's routine check-up that she has grown 2 inches in the last 3 months - that must be where it all goes.
We had a group photo, before some very sad goodbyes had to take place.
B has really enjoyed working with his colleagues over the last two and a half years, and they have always been very welcoming and interested in A and S. We will miss them.
